BACKGROUND – WHY SENTINEL COMMUNITY SERVICES WAS CREATED

Sentinel Community Services was created to formalise and expand a small business providing services in the Aged Care Sector as a sub-contractor. Whilst providing these services our support workers came across many elderly carer’s, some of which have never received assistance in caring for the people they were caring for. It became apparent that some of these carers were desperate to ensure that when their time came, the people they are providing care for had supports in place to enable them to remain as independent as possible and living their best life.

Our vision is to promote and protect the human rights of older people and those with disabilities and actively support their full inclusion and participation in life and in their community.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our personalised service. You can expect and will receive attentive, collaborative and quality services. We understand that people are Individuals and require support and assistance at different times of the day and night and adapt our service to meet their needs. Clients are not just a number to us, they are the most important people with individual needs, goal, aspirations, and dreams. They will be treated with the utmost dignity and respect at all times, and supported to achieve whatever the want, whenever they want, by caring, friendly, compassionate, staff. 

In order to achieve this vision, the Director has taken the time to developed policies and procedures for all aspects of business to ensure that the quality of the services provided are the highest they can possibly be and that they are reviewed regularly and continuously improved.
